The Garden of Temptations

The first chapter just talks about a women and her husband, they are having marriage difficulties right now and they cant seem to find anything that will spark up that fire that they once had. The wife is slim little thing, wears white gowns that her husband would come home with here and there to brighten her day, he tells her she looks flawless in white, thats his favorite color on her. They don't know how they lost the spark they can't seem to come to an agreement on how to rekindle their romance. Their maid suggests they find a counselor that could help the talk through their marriage....they have been together for years the maid says.. why neglect each other now and have to start all over?...why would one want that?

The Help

CHAPTER ONE

THE FIRST MAID INTRODUCED IS AIBILEEN, SHE IS THE HELP FOR THE HOUSE HOLD OF THE "LEEFOLT'S". IN THIS CHAPTER AIBILEEN TALKS ABOUT HOW HER SON HAD DIED, HIS LUNGS WERE CRUSHED BY A MACHINE DURING CONSTRUCTION AND HE WAS PRONOUNCED DEAD BEFORE SHE EVEN FOUND OUT ABOUT IT. SHE WAS LIVING IN A LITTLE SHACK AND AFTER HER SON DIED AHE HAD'NT COME OUT HER HOUSE IN 3 MONTHS. A CLOSE FRIEND NAME MINNY WOULD COME OVER AND FEED HER AND MAKE SURE SHE WAS'NT AT HOME DYING.  MISS LEEFOLT HAD JUST GIVEN BIRTH TOO HER NEW BABY GIRL MAE MOBLEY SO AIBILEEN HAD FINALLY DECIDED TO GET UP AND RAISE THIS BABY. SHE HAD RAISED 17 BABIES BY NOW ONLY ONE BEING HERS.
